The climate in Burgundy is very pleasant. Burgundy is one of the oldest regions of France. The area is known for its wine growing. Due to the good climate with many hours of sunshine, the grapes that grow in Burgundy are of great quality. During the summer months (June to September) this region has an average of 11 to 14 wet days. In the spring the daytime temperature is around 22 degrees and in the summer can rise to 30 to 35 degrees. A very suitable holiday climate!
The weather in Burgundy is not entirely predictable. There is a continental climate: very hot in summer and very cold in winter. The warm summers in combination with the hilly landscape occasionally lead to (unexpected) thunderstorms. From April there is usually little rainfall. A few times a lot at the same time, after that the weather is beautiful and sunny.
